Error #2: When My Doc Asks Me To Take Bypass Surgery, I Can Only Take It Because "My Doctor Says So".
WRONG!
When it comes to bypass surgery, you have only more to fear than anything else. Most bypass surgeries (angioplasty surgeries included) are totally unnecessary. Most of the patients were getting worse ... some needlessly dying of heart disease. Much of the bypass surgery that's prescribed is designed to benefit the surgeon's bank account.

Error#3: Heart drugs are the solution to heart disease
WRONG!
There is no evidence that these drugs prolong your life nor they improve the quality of your life. But there is an evidence that they shorten your life. A Journal of the American Medical Association, 266 no. 9 (Sep. 1991):1225-1229, showed that deaths from heart attacks and strokes were 46% higher in those taking cholesterol lowering drugs. We should first understand that the large amount of cholesterol in our body is produced by our body, but not taken into the body as part of the diet.
Another example is lipid lowering drugs. Certain lipid-lowering drugs, like the 'statins' ( Lovastatin, Simvastatin, Pravastatin) and Gemfibrozil as well as oral agents which lower blood sugar, like Tolazamide and Glyburide, cause a decrease in serum levels of coenzyme Q10. These drugs inhibit the production of coenzyme Q10 by the liver and will cause serious complications unless one supplements coenzyme Q10 back into the diet. A prescription for lipid-lowering statin drugs should always be accompanied with a recommendation to take coenzyme Q10, because if a person lacks coenzyme Q10, there will likely be a heart failure.
A new study involving more than 15,000 patients with heart disease or risk factors for heart disease has also found that the drug combination of Plavix and low dose aspirin didn't reduce the risk of heart disease, but increase the risk of a first heart attack or stroke…
You should be able to control high cholesterol, high blood pressure and many ailments relating to heart disease with the proper diet, proper lifestyle. You really can do it without any chemical treatment. Take high cholesterol for instance, drinking more water can lower cholesterol naturally. As you can see, a simple change of your lifestyle and diet can prevent and reverse your disease effectively, but you just don't know it. Or you have tried but failed to change your lifestyle, your diet. There are many Americans in this condition. So, you can only go to your doctor, take all the drugs your doctor prescribed for you. The drugs only benefit the bank account of the drug companies.

Error #4: Overweight Increases The Risk Of Heart Problems. I Know There Are Some Special Pills, Food Combinations, Weight Loss or Cellulite Programs Which Can Promise Effortless Weight Loss Effects.
WRONG!
The only way to lose weight is to burn off more calories than you eat. This requires self-discipline: eating less and exercising more. There are about 3,500 calories in a pound of body weight. To lose one pound a week (a safe amount that is not just water), you must eat about 500 fewer calories per day than you burn up. The most sensible diet for losing weight is one that is nutritionally balanced in carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Most fad diets work by producing temporary weight loss are a result of calorie restriction. But they are invariably too monotonous and are often harmful for long term use. Unless a dieter develops and maintains better eating and exercise habits, weight lost on a diet will soon return.
The term "cellulite" is sometimes used to describe the lumpy deposits of body fat on the thighs of many women, and represented as a special type of fat that is resistant to diet and exercise. Sure-fire cellulite remedies include creams, rollers, sponges, body wraps, and vitamin-mineral supplements with or without herbs. The cost of various treatment plans runs from a few dollars for a bottle of vitamins to many hundreds of dollars at a salon that offers heat treatments, massage, enzyme injections, and/or treatment with various gadgets. The simple truth about "cellulite" is that it is ordinary fat that can be lost only as part of an overall reducing program.

Error #5: I Hear that Most Diseases Are Due To Faulty Diet And Can Be Treated With "Nutritional" Methods
WRONG!
Although faulty diet is a factor in some diseases like coronary heart disease, most diseases have little or nothing to do with it. Physical discomfort as mild sickness like insomnia, fatigue, aches, headaches and pains are usually the result of the body's reaction to emotional stress. The persistence of such symptoms is a signal to see a doctor to be evaluated for possible physical illness. It is not a reason to take supplements. My experience has been that proper stress management programs can help relieve many of these symptoms, should the emotional stress is really the cause.

Error #6: We should eat less fat and more carbohydrates in order to have a more healthy life.
WRONG!
It is NOT the fat, that causes the degenerative diseases, but the white sugar and processed foods. Before the Eskimos got influenced by the western culture, they ate a large amount of marine mammal fat daily, but heart disease was completely unknown among them. It is the combination of animal products and low fibre vegetables that is the problem.
Certain essentials fats are vital to our health, like Omega-3 in oily fish and the occasional Omega-6 in primrose oil. They have been used to protect against heart attack, hypertension, tissue inflammation, heart and circulatory problems, and many other ailments , way too many to list here. They in fact benefit us in almost every function of our body so don't just get confused or misled by some quacks.

Error #7: Many Books Say Mega Dosages Of Vitamins Can Prevent Or Reverse Your Disease
WRONG!
Quacks will tell you that high dosages of vitamins (a.k.a. orthomolecular therapy) can prevent or cure many different diseases, particularly emotional ones. But they won't tell you that the evidence supporting such claims is either irrelevant or unreliable because it is based on inadequate investigations, anecdotes, or testimonials. Although heart disease may be "cured" in most people so long as they follow the therapy. Quacks won't tell you the fact that we can't stop taking vitamin C in rather large amounts, otherwise the condition will eventually appear and return. Quacks won't even tell you that excessive dosages of vitamins may be harmful. Obviously orthomolecular therapy is not a complete cure for heart disease yet. It is only beneficial to drug manufacturers and doctors, but not patients.

Error #8: Many Books Say Diet and Fasting Are Enough to Prevent or Reverse Your Disease
WRONG!
Health and disease should be addressed in a comprehensive manner. The essense of Natural Hygiene is that it includes fasting, food, optimal lifestyle, and nearly all aspects of living as a whole, but it does not approach health and disease in a one-thing-at-a-time manner.
